A very large and stunning screenprint with woodblock from 1990 by Joe Tilson RA, Hephaistos.

The work is signed and dated in pencil with a further personal dedication in pencil ‘To Dave, Many thanks for all the hard work’.  Dave was a printer at Advanced Graphics where this work was printed, we acquired this work at auction along with other works that were in the printer’s personal collection.  The edition size for this print was just 45 copies.

A superb work, on very heavy wove paper, heavily inked, featuring gold ink, and with a great surface.

Measurements: 1220 x 925mm sheet size

Condition: Unframed, on heavy paper, overall in very good condition, there has been a small professional edge repair to the lower left, it cannot be seen from the front at all, photograph shown of the support patch verso. To the back of the sheet are some areas of old staining,again absolutely nothing to see on the front. Possible that some sweating of the paper has occurred in storage.
