Lin Jammet (1958-2017)Original etching from 1998, Stranger, one from a set of seven, an edition of 30, signed, numbered and dated in pencil.
Printed at Gresham studios, on Moulin de Gue (a soft French paper made from linen and cotton), bearing their blindstamp lower right, on wove paper.
A powerful black and white image of a man surrounded by three dark figures.
The amount of work that went into producing the finished etching deserves a mention. The etchings were drawn into a hard beeswax ground on zinc plates and etched in ferric chloride and nitric acid. In some instances acid was applied with a brush to provide areas of tone.
