Antony Donaldson (b1939)

1973 lithograph, signed and titled in pencil, numbered 44/250.  Typical of Donaldson’s portrayal of the female figure at that time, capturing the dream mood of relaxation, fun and leisure after the hardship of the post war era.  Confident, sexy, free – beach beauties, starlets or strippers, their expressions were designed to reflect stereotypical male fantasies.
