Antony Donaldson (b1939)

Donaldson studied at the Regent Street Polytechnic followed by the Slade School in 1958-62 and did a Post graduate qualification in Fine Art at the University of London in 1962-3. He joined the teaching staff at Chelsea and in 1963 came 2nd in the John Moores Liverpool Exhibition.  A friend of Peter Phillips, Allen Jones and Patrick Caulfield, he exhibited at the 1961 Young Contemporaries Exhibition in London which is where British pop art was really brought to prominence.  Donaldson moved to LA in 1966 on a scholarship where he spent two years.  He now lives and works in London and his work is highly sought after.
