For The Love of Art, with websites loveourart.co.uk and loveourart.com, specialises in sourcing and selling modern and contemporary art from the secondary market. Our registered office address is Fairfield, Crown Lane, Farnham Royal, SL2 3SQ. This Privacy Statement aims to explain how we collect and process data that you provide to us, and also your rights in accordance with the new GDPR Regulations. Our customers are really important to us and we respect your personal information. We won’t sell your data to any third party and will not disclose your personal information unless required to do so by legal obligation, or as otherwise specified below.

To analyse data (eg we use reports and data to understand how customers interact with our marketing emails and our website to help us improve customer experience, identify interest in our communications and artworks and inform our business and marketing strategy. We also use Contact and Transaction data to analyse information relevant to the growth and improvement of our business and selection of future stock, including analysis of sales trends, geographical trends, pricing and other information relevant to the growth and improvement of our business).

3. Third Parties Processors we use and which area we use them in
- i) Email marketing services
As we are a really small business, we need help to perform our email marketing communications and for this we use a third party specialist – currently “Mailchimp”. MailChimp is US-based, it is the world’s leading marketing automation platform and participates in and has certified its compliance with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework. If you have opted in (consented) to receive email marketing messages from us, you are consenting to your Contact data (email address and name), and Technical data (including IP address), being transferred to Mailchimp outside of the EEA (European Economic Area), who will treat information about you in accordance with the provisions of its Privacy Policy. Mailchimp facilitates the collection of data (via our sign up forms), and storage of data (within our personal account) in order to allow us to create distribution lists for sending marketing messages to you by email. Personal data may be transferred to certain of MailChimp’s sub-processors (who perform some critical services, including helping prevent abuse). MailChimp also utilises certain technologies, such as pixels and web beacons which allow MailChimp to track whether you have opened or clicked on our emails and if so, the date, time, and IP address associated with the open and/or click. We will use these reports to see how you interact with our email campaigns, eg whether you have opened our marketing email, which links are clicked through to, when and what pages are visited, in order to inform our future business and marketing activity.
You may also at any time contact MailChimp to ask them what data they hold about you or request to delete your data.
If you are under 16 years of age you MUST obtain parental consent before signing up to our email newsletter.
Opting Out / Unsubscribing
You can opt out or unsubscribe at any time from receiving marketing emails from us by selecting the ‘unsubscribe’ option which you will find at the foot of every marketing email. You can also contact us to tell us you no longer want to hear from us or to update your details.
ii) Payment services
If you make a purchase from us directly then we will accept payment by bank transfer, cheque, cash or Paypal. We do not accept credit or debit cards.
All Paypal transactions are subject to the Paypal privacy policy which applies to Paypal users.
- iii) Delivery services
Your Identity and Contact data will be shared with third parties to enable us to fulfil delivery of your purchase (eg via postal methods, couriers, courier services websites).
iv) Professional & Legal services
We may be required to share your data with professional advisors including accountants, lawyers or insurers (based in the UK), HM Revenue & Customs, regulators, IT professionals, debt recovery and other authorities.
v) Google analytics and Cookies
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer to help the website analyse how visitors use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may also make a request for us to delete the data we hold about you. If we feel we are unable to do this for legal or legitimate business reasons, we will explain this to you.
You may withdraw consent for use of your data for email marketing purposes at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe option at the foot of our marketing emails, or by writing to us directly. It is your responsibility to keep us informed of changes to your Contact data.
