Wrenard of St Paul’s illustration (Watercolour)

Albany Wiseman (1930-2021)

An original watercolour by the late Albany Wiseman for the children’s book Wrenard of St Paul’s about a fox which hid in the famous London cathedral.

This book was for a while sold in the gift shop at St Paul’s Cathedral.  Albany Wiseman did all the illustrations for it and we have a couple more for sale also.

The painting is signed lower right in pencil.  A beautiful little painting showing the fox himself in the lower right corner.

Provenance: from the late artist’s archives, purchased from the family.

 

Measurements: 21 x 22 cm image

Condition: in very good condition overall, very slight soft crease lower right corner, minor.
