A limited edition stone lithograph by the sought after Robert Tavener from the ‘City Series.
Signed and numbered 31/50 in pencil and titled on the reverse
This church in the City of London was destroyed in the Great Fire of 1666 then rebuilt under the supervision of Sir Christopher Wren. It was severely damaged during the London Blitz in the Second World War and restored in the late 1960s. Richard “Dick” Whittington, the fabled Lord Mayor of London, was buried within its precincts although the tomb is now lost.
