St Mark’s Square, Venice (watercolour & crayon)

Richard Beer (1928-2017)

A stunning original painting in watercolour and crayon by Richard Beer, showing a flooded St Mark’s square in Venice.  It has come from the artist’s personal archives.

It is not signed, it has come from a large collection of originals from the artist’s estate and we will provide auction receipt.

Beer travelled widely particularly in France and Italy and avidly sketched, painted and drew the rural and architectural landscapes that inspired him.  Architecture was a source of great inspiration.

Provenance:  from the estate of the late Richard Beer

Measurements: 25.5x 51 cm

Condition: It is in very good condition overall, it has a couple of drawing pin holes to the corners, and has uneven edges.
