Rose Hilton (1931-2019)

A rare hard ground line etching by the St Ives artist the late Rose Hilton

The work is signed in pencil and denoted BAT for bon a tirer (good to pull), a proof aside from the edition of 75.

The work is from the Ten Etchings portfolio produced in 1990 by a collaboration of artists to help raise funds for the new Tate St Ives gallery.

It has an annotation verso referencing the folio and that it was proofed by Sheila Oliner, fellow artist in the folio and printmaker.
