Albany Wiseman (1930-2021)

An original watercolour and pencil painting by the late Albany Wiseman of the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

The artist was well known for his architectural limited edition lithographs of hospitals and other institutions which were produced as fund-raisers in many instances.  This original work was clearly used as the basis for the limited edition lithograph which we are selling separately.  There are some differences but it is great to see the process behind the end result.

The painting is not signed but bears annotations along the bottom in the artist’s hand.

Provenance: from the late artist’s archives, purchased from the family.
