Roy Fisher Metamorphoses (etching)

Rare vintage limited edition etching (1970) with accompanying text sheets by contemporary poet Roy Fisher.

Part of the Tetrad Press collection, which specialised in collaborative works between artists and poets or writers.  The beautiful etching showing shapes in transformation is an edition of just 40, signed and numbered 27/40.  We cannot find it for sale elsewhere but is referenced in a Sheffield University collection.

The text sheets are printed on heavy card which is folded to match the size of the etching and then both presented in original burnt orange card folder with slip case.

Roy Fisher has signed the back of the text sheets.

 

 

Measurements: 25.5 x 30.5 cm sheet (etching)

Condition: The etching has some very slight time toning to the edges, minor. The paper slip case it sits in (inside the orange folder) is part loose as the tape holding it on has dried up, otherwise everything good.
