Dan Baldwin

Superb and large oil and spray paint on canvas by British Urban artist Dan Baldwin titled Politics (panel 1). The series was dated 04/05. The panel depicts the comparisons of life and death you normally associate with Dan’s work and mixes political figures and Disney cartoons. The surface has real butterflies attached some of which have naturally deteriorated.

The work is on canvas wrapped around a wooden stretcher with the image wrapping around the sides. It is ready to hang.

The themes are typical of the recurring interest over the last 10 years in Dan’s work. He has since branched out into pottery and textiles and has joined the CCA stable as one of their star attractions. His originals fetch high prices

Due to the size this work MUST BE COLLECTED

Measurements: 180 x 180 cms

Condition: work has some light surface rubbing in places. The butterflies have some wear with time. There are varnish runs in a number of spots but they would have been done when the work was completed
