Caulfield’s style of using thick black outlines and flat blocks of colour to portray everyday objects is instantly recognisable. 

 

 

 

Measurements: 74 x 103 cm sheet size, 58 x 71 cm image size.

Condition: Unframed, fresh, strong colours. On close scrutiny there are a couple of very small hairline wrinkles in the image, minor, and also when sheet held at an angle, some colourless marks to the lower left, like a couple of 'gloss splashes' on the surface but not seen when viewed straight on. Photographed these at an angle and then viewed straight on. The wider margins have some occasional grubbiness to the far edges and there is a small surface rub to the top left of the paper. Overall this work is in very good condition.
