Night Landscape

Henry Cliffe (1919-1983)

Original oil on canvas which featured in a sale of 17 Henry Cliffe paintings (some signed, some unsigned) at Phillips Auctioneers in London, June 1999.  It comes with the original sale catalogue where this work is listed as Lot 308 on page 49.  The painting, in rich tones of black, grey, blue and orange / red is not obviously signed but still bears its 2 Lot labels from the auction.  Cliffe has applied the paint in thick layers, using both brush and palette knife. Framed in a black wood box frame.

Measurements: 50.5 x 76 cm

Condition: Excellent condition.
