A rare limited edition aquatint etching by the late Patrick Procktor.

Sleeping Baby, Johannesburg from the South Africa Suite, 1974.  As found in the Tate collection and the National Gallery in Johannesburg.

This is an artist proof, signed in pencil. The edition size was only 50 and there were 5 artists proofs.  It was printed by editions Alecto on RK Burt mould made paper.  Initially etched directly onto copper plates in South Africa and completed with aquatint in London.  The suite of 5 works was exhibited in Gallery 101 Johannesburg in 1977.

Measurements: Image 176mm x 126 mm, on full sheet with deckled edge 250 x 295 mm.

Condition: This fine print has beautiful tone and does not appear to have been previously framed. In great condition with occasional very light handling creases, minor. We are selling another from the set separately.
