Heads, Figures and Ideas

Henry Moore RA (1898-1986)

A wonderful large publication, compiled and designed by Henry Moore in 1957 in collaboration with George Rainbird, and text by Geoffrey Grigson.  Published in 1958 by George Rainbird Ltd and the New York Graphic Society.

Printed at The Curwen Press on Grosvenor Chater’s Chariot Offset Cartridge paper.  Featuring an auto-lithograph on handmade paper (main photograph) with Henry Moore’s signature as a watermark.

A very special collection of high quality images, sketches, paintings, with notes by Moore (too many for me to show all of them here), all still bound into the book with hardback cover and gilt lettering to spine edge.  No slip case.  The quality of the images is so good that you could be deceived into thinking Moore’s annotations are original in pencil!

35 pages in total including the auto-lithograph and the end papers.

Measurements: 47 x 31.5 cm

Condition: Whilst the outer cover has as you would expect some signs of wear, mostly to the edges, the insides of the book are in excellent condition, strongly bound in, clean pages with vibrant images.
