Kyu-Baik Hwang (b1932)

A limited edition mezzotint etching in colour by the Korean artist Hyu-Baik Hwang.

Titled Golf 2, signed and dated 07 in pencil and numbered from the edition of 100.  Bears CCA Galleries blindstamps upper right and lower right corners, currently hidden by the mount.

In his very distinctive style, Hwang takes everyday familiar objects and gives them a mystical, ethereal personality that sets them apart from their everyday connotations.  He uses a combination of processes, mezzotinting the central image areas only so that the background appears light.

Measurements: 20 x 23 cm approx image 

Condition: Excellent clean condition, photographed in its mount from which it will be removed for shipping as it is safer and cheaper to do so.  The print has been mounted with white tape on the back.
