Dingley Dell
Graham Clarke (b1941)One of Graham Clarke’s earliest etchings with aquatint from 1973, Dingley Dell.
A very atmospheric work in monotone, a moonlit scene with the usual hidden things going on if you look for them, a cat prowling, chickens under the trees, a farm pushing a barrow, sheep in the field.
This is also the first in the edition, being number 1 of 75, a very small edition too.
This item is signed and titled and numbered 1/75 in pencil.
Measurements: Plate Size Approx: 545mm x 345mm,
Condition: Unexamined out of frame, it appears to be in excellent condition, perhaps some very light time toning to the margins, hard to say, but if there is it is even in nature and not obvious. Nice dark wooden frame which is included free of charge with the print, UK only, overseas, deframed.
