Chateau Sudiraut

Tom Phillips RA (1937-2023)

Screenprint with etching in the design of a wine label.  One from a set of works commissioned and published by Wine Arts in 1989 featuring French vineyards and winemaking chateaux.  The other artists involved in the folio included Norman Ackroyd RA and Terence Millington.

Château Suduiraut, formerly Cru du Roy and Château de Suduiraut, is a sweet white wine ranked as Premier Cru Classé in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.  The central image of the chateau and vineyards is bordered with close ups of vines with text relating to wine.

Signed in pencil and numbered from the edition of 150 (number shown is for reference).   Advanced Graphics blindstamp lower right.
