Chateau Leoville Barton

Terence Millington b1942

Limited edition etching.  One from a set of works commissioned and published by Wine Arts in 1989 featuring French vineyards and winemaking chateaux.  The other artists involved in the folio included Tom Phillips RA and Norman Ackroyd RA.

Chateau Leoville Barton is a vineyard in the Bordeaux region and is also the name of the red wine produced there.  This wine was classified as one of the fifteen deuxiemes crus in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.

Signed in pencil and numbered 5/150.  Also signed by another hand in French, Anthony Barton, who I imagine was running the vineyard at the time this print was made.  WineArts blindstamp lower left.
