Reine de la Mer
Graham Clarke (b1941)Super large etching with aquatint, shown mounted and framed.
Reine de la Mer (Queen of the Sea), signed and numbered 196/400 in pencil. One from the 1988 Grand Tour series. Published by CCA Galleries.
A quaint French fishing harbour scene, the Reine de la Mer being the name of the lobster seller standing on the quay. As usual the scene is very busy with lots of detail and humour to observe. Grumpy fishermen with their catch of sardines, lobster and large fish, a cafe restaurant with pink umbrellas, and a beach behind.
