Richard Beer (1928-2017)

Superb large etching with aquatint of Venice’s Ca D’Oro.  A seemingly rare edition which we cannot find available or referenced elsewhere.

Titled in pencil, signed and denoted artist proof

This composition is really striking with Beer’s draughtsmanship shining through. Great detail on the buildings and contrasting with the flat blue waters in the foreground.

 

Measurements: 42.5 x 65 cm plate size

Condition: Image is in Great condition, unframed on wove paper.  Some faint circles of show through from old mount glue on the back in the four corners, minor.
