Bus Stop, Chatelet (2)

Line and aquatint etching from the Parisian Suite (2002).  Signed and numbered 18/25 in pencil.

Printed on Fabriano Tiepolo 290 gsm paper, blindstamped lower right corner.

Failing health forced Peter Coker to give up painting in 1992.  After a gap of 10 years he returned to the studio, using drawings he had made in Paris in the 1970s as his starting point for new work. The Parisian Suite is a series of soft ground etchings and aquatints with one lithograph, ten in total, based on his memories of Paris which he visited frequently in his earlier years.
