Richard Beer (1928-2017)

Lovely etching with aquatint of a typical quaint French Patisserie – Boulangerie on the Rue du Roi de Sicile.

Titled Boulangerie in pencil, signed and numbered 11/70

Beer spent many holidays travelling through France, sketching and painting and then producing etchings in his own studio on return to London.  This old street is located in the Le Marais district of Paris.

This composition is really striking with Beer’s draughtsmanship shining through. Great detail on the shop front with a view through the window stacked full of baguettes

Condition: Great condition, unframed on wove paper
