The artist said of his work “I visited several National Trust properties in the summer of 88 when most of the hurricane damage had been cleared… I walked the woods at Felbrigg, absorbing the atmosphere and using camera and sketchbook.  The resulting engraving is an attempt to recreate the experience and to celebrate Trees.  It is a synthesis of a lifetime love of beech trees….”
