Tim Mara (1948-97)
An experimental and groundbreaking printmaker, who trained at the Royal College of Art. He was Professor of Printmaking at the Royal College of Art from 1991 until his death. His compositions were likened to the 1970s pop art movement, although he did not wish to be thought of as a pop artist, his heroes being Piero della Francesca, Velasquez and Vermeer. He has works in the Tate and the V&A.
