Born in London, Oliner studied at the Slade School and latterly under Dorothea White of Studio Prints.  Since 1985 her working studio has been in St Ives and she was part of the Porthmeor Printmakers group in the 1990s. She has exhibited at the RA Summer Exhibition and was for a number of years the printmaking tutor at the Penzance School of Art.
