Fraser Taylor (b1960)

Fraser Taylor is a Scottish artist who studied at the Glasgow School of Art, earning a First in Painting, followed by Printmaking at the Royal College of Art in London. He founded The Cloth Company in the 80s, an internationally acclaimed textile printing company and featured in a V&A exhibition on fashion in 2014.  Painting has been his focus since the late 80s and he has had successful solo shows in London and New York. Since 1983, Taylor has lectured at leading, including Goldsmiths, University of London, the Royal College of Art, and Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. In 2001 he was appointed the Visiting Artist in the Department of Fiber and Material Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In 2017 he was awarded an Honorary Professorship from the University of Glasgow, Glasgow School of Art.
