Bernard Meadows (1915-2005)
Renowned modernist sculptor of bronze, Meadows was assistant to Henry Moore. He rose to personal fame after the Venice Biennale in 1952 where his exhibit was subsequently acquired by the TATE. He was Professor of Sculpture at the Royal College of Art from 1960-80. He was also a printmaker (lithographs and etchings), subjects which formed studies for his sculptures.
