St Gaudenzio, Switzerland (etching)

Luke Piper (b1966)

A stunning Large etching with aquatint by Luke Piper, the grandson of John Piper and son of Edward Piper.

Signed and denoted proof in pencil aside from the edition of just 10.  The similarity in style to his grandfather in this depiction of the ruins of the 16th century swiss church is striking.

The artist used acid etching, aquatint, sugar lift, carborundum paste, intaglio and hand colouring in the production of this work.

Measurements: 74 x 57 cm sheet size.

Condition: Great condition, strong colours, one small dot mark to the lower margin as shown.  Currently hinge mounted onto board from which it will be removed for shipping and rolled.
